Good morning beautiful people!!! Today’s inspiration is brought to you by the fact that this is my last working day of this week (woohoo!), it’s cold enough to justify wearing turtlenecks daily (finally), and a pumpkin cream cheese muffin…and latte…from Starbucks.
I love when things align.
Earlier this week, on two separate occasions, both my professional coach and therapist talked about momentum.
Coincidence? I think not.
In fact, the point was made that I have to be mindful of not simply oscillating but of gaining and maintaining momentum.
Why momentum?
Well when you oscillate, you move back and forth between two points. You’re moving but not really going anywhere meaningful.
But momentum…momentumn is a “driving force gained by the development of a process or course of events.” (Oxford Language, 2021)
Momentum propels you forward. Oscillating pulls you back.
Oscillating shows up everyday.
It shows up when we focus more on our weaknesses and downplay our strengths.
It shows up when we show up as less than because others think we’re too much.
It shows up when we tell ourselves we’re not good enough although we’ve proven time and time again that we have value.
Let’s stop oscillating.
Let’s gain and build momentum.
Play to your strengths.
Be too much.
Know you’re value.
Shine!
Happy Thursday!
